LA GRANDE — Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center will host six youths from Malheur County among 31 other youth camper selections for the 27th Annual MedQuest program in La Grande, June 16-21.
This long-running health career exploration camp for high school students engages participants in a variety of unique medical experiences, including individually-tailored job shadows, panel discussions with local providers, tours of medical facilities and much more.
The students represent 10 Oregon counties and one Idaho county.
Those attending from Malheur County include Four Rivers Senior Prep students Ana Aguilar, Ivonne Hernandez, and Maya Serrano; Vale High School students Paloma Bueno and Cristal Rezal; and Abby Savage from Harper Charter School.
Applicants were selected based on their extracurricular involvement, essays, grade-point average, and passion for the health-care field.
