Caldwell - Catherine Eileen (Fountain) Dines went to be with the lord on September 12th 2021.Ca thy was a friend to all and an inspiration in every facet of her life and will be truly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her. Cathy was born in Missouri to Olen and Leta (Stephen) Fountain on September 30, 1932. At the age of 16 she moved to Caldwell, ID and later married the love of her life Bob Dines 1954 and they made their home in Caldwell.They raised two son's Jeff and Rod who both attended Greenleaf friends academy. Cathy spent her entire adult life helping others.Her motto in life was "it is better to give than receive" and all her years of volunteering surely did demonstrate that! She volunteered at Greenleaf Friends Academy, Deep Flat Church and Caldwell memorial hospital.She did hair in various nursing homes and for any and all that were not well enough to leave their homes. After moving to New Meadows in 1992 she started volunteering at McCall Memorial hospital and to this day holds the record for most hours worked.She even recieved a lifetime achievement award from President Obama and a letter from Governor Butch Otter for her 6000+ hrs of vounteer work.She also volunteered on numerous boards-too many to mention. Cathy loved the lord and her family and friends.She loved to laugh and watch sports.But her pride and joy in life were her two grandchildren Zoey and Bodhi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob and son Jeff. She is survived by son Rod (Kathy), grandchildren Zoey and Bodhi, Brother Don Fountain, Niece Renee (Ben) & family, Nephew Scott (Chris) & Family; the Michel family Doris, Phil, Neil (Patsy), Diane, Cathy (Brent), Tami(Doug) and Dines family Jim(Sharon), Geneva and many wonderful friends. In Lieu of flowers donations may be given to Greenleaf Friends Academy. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
