On Tuesday, I attended the Family Education Center open house at Four Rivers Community School in Ontario. It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that Chelle Robins, executive director for the school, invited me to come for a tour and showed me plans for this new facility.

This is truly a great asset for our community. The added space will allow the school to increase educational opportunities for adults; increase the number of after-school programs; provide meeting spaces, recreation and sports; host events for families, the community and organizations; and offer indoor play space during winter months and a stage for performances and dance classes.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this project. You really have something to be very proud of.

Last week I told you about the Friday night Boys and Girls Club dinners at our house and that there were two dates still open. Well, I am pleased to say they have all been spoken for, and all four Friday nights are full. This will be our second year hosting these benefit dinners, and if last year is any indication, this year will be a great time as well.
