MALHEUR COUNTY — Deputies with the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office spent a majority of time on Sunday and Monday being “consumed with the weather and the roads,” said Sheriff Brian Wolfe in a phone interview this morning.
Tuesday and today the roads are good, he said, however there is fog throughout the whole valley.
Because of this, “we’re just urging people to use caution,” Wolfe said.
While most motorists are taking weather conditions into consideration and adjusting driving speeds accordingly, that’s not the case across the board.
Wolfe said “some people are in a hurry, going too fast or trying to pass when it’s unsafe to do so.
His deputies have responded to some of those complaints.
The good news, he said, is that adverse road conditions haven’t caused any crashes.
