2 Life just got a little less lonely today for Ryugu, an asteroid that Japan’s Hayabusa-2 probe just landed on Thursday, and is currently collecting surface samples. According to ScienceAlert.com, the asteroid is a primitive asteroid which is half-a-mile in diameter, that orbits the sun at a distance up to 131 million miles. The probe initially landed there in February to collect shallow samples from just below the surface.
