Taiko drumming

Members of the Sangha Taiko drum group perform on Saturday during the 72nd annual Obon Festival, presented by the Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple, at Four Rivers Cultural Center. According to Mike Iseri, president of the temple, the number of attendees far exceeded what was anticipated, with more than 600 people attending compared to the 300 to 400 people that were expected. Events held during the Obon Festival included a traditional Japanese Obon dance, taiko drumming demonstration, aikido, a kimono demonstration, and a Buddhist altar introduction.
