PAYETTE — Families needing support to provide toys for Christmas this year are invited to shop for free at the Christmas Toy Giveaway, on Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Payette Primary School, 1320 Third Ave. N.

The Payette Community Closet, the 21st CCLC Kindergarten Program and Payette High School students have combined efforts to organize this event. The giveaway, which will feature stuffed animals, games and toys for children ages 2 to 12, has been made possible by the efforts of an amazing anonymous donor. This benefactor is passionate about helping struggling families provide Christmas toys for their children.

Anyone interested in donating to this giveaway is encouraged to bring new or gently used and cleaned toys, games and stuffed animals to the Payette Primary School by Dec. 9.

In conjunction with the Toy Giveaway, the 21st CCLC Kindergarten program is hosting Santa’s Workshop for kindergartners also at the Primary School on Saturday, Dec. 14 but only from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

This free event is being organized by Family Career Community Leaders of America, with Parenting and Child Development, and Early Childhood Profession students from Payette High School, who are volunteering their time to provide free, fun, and supervised activities. The workshop will feature Christmas crafts, games, and activities including cookie decorating all organized and presented by the PHS students.

Parents are welcome to leave their children at the workshop if they are shopping at the toy giveaway from 10 a.m. to noon.

For more information call the Primary School at (208) 642-3379.
