ONTARIO — Members of Ontario’s Marijuana Ad Hoc Committee recently introduced a motion that urge the city to form another committee to deal with the influx of “hardcore” drugs being abused in the community. Some of the substances being referenced as hardcore drugs include methamphetamine and heroin, among others.
This suggestion was first made at the Sept. 18 committee meeting where all members who were present, save for one, voted in favor of forming the new committee with John Kirby serving as the only dissenting member against the proposal.
This proposal will be brought to the City Council at the next work session on Thursday.

So the take away shouldn't be that John Kirby cares more about people smoking pot than smoking meth (for anyone that remembers that "conscience of the community" nonsense), but somehow it is.
