ONTARIO — The legislative hotline halls to inform eastern Oregon residents about what is happening during this year’s legislative session, which takes place across the state, are planned to start Wednesday.
The first town hall meeting will be from 7 to 8 a.m. Wednesday, and can be viewed locally at the Malheur County OSU Extension Office, 710 S.W. Fifth Ave.
After that, the town halls will be held at the same time on the first Wednesday of each month through the end of the 2019 legislative session in June.
Hosts include Rep. Lynn Findley, R-Vale, and Sen. Cliff Bentz, R-Ontario. In addition to Malheur County, the Town Halls will be held at OSU Extension Offices in Baker, Grant and Harney counties, which will connect to the Capitol in Salem.
Findley and Bentz will give a 30-minute Legislative Update, and then answer questions from constituents for an additional 30 minutes.
