ONTARIO — An Ontario High School, TVCC and BSU graduate will step into the lead role for marketing, communications and foundation at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Ontario.
Claudia Weathermon Tester earned her associates in journalism-communications at Treasure Valley Community College and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in political science, American government and public policy at Boise State University. According to a news release from Saint Alphonsus.
In her new role, Weathermon Tester will manage internal and external communications and marketing initiatives for the Ontario market as well as serve as executive director of the Saint Alphonsus Foundation, states the release.
“Claudia’s deep connection with our community coupled with her extensive marketing experience make her a wonderful addition to Saint Alphonsus Ontario’s leadership team,” said Ken Hart, president of the Ontario medical facility, in the news release. “I am confident that she will hit the ground running and will build on the great work of our Foundation Board and our marketing team to get the word out about the outstanding quality and patient experience here at Saint Alphonsus.”
Weathermon Tester expressed excitement about being able to work where she grew up.
“Working in a faith-based organization is really important to me,” she said. “I look forward to being part of the mission to improve wellness in Ontario and all of the surrounding communities Saint Alphonsus serves.”
Weathermon Tester started her broadcast career in Ontario, working at KSRV Radio at age 15, then Cable 8 TV before moving to KIVI-TV and Fox-TV in Nampa, reads the release.
After leaving broadcasting, she has worked as a communications and recruitment manager for Elks Rehabilitation System in Boise. She currently is the co-owner of Jon Carson Consulting in Meridian, where she directs the public relations, media and community engagement practice for the business consulting firm.
