Hospital dedicates wall to priest known by parishioners as 'Father Kirk'

Several of the dozens who attended the dedication of a memorial wall to the Rev. Cletus Kirkpatrick at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Ontario on Wednesday, move in to take a closer look.

Dozens gathered for the dedication of a memorial wall to the Rev. Cletus Kirkpatrick on the second floor of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Ontario, across from the chapel. Kirkpatrick, fondly known as “Father Kirk” was also called the Protestant’s priest, according to Ken Hart, CEO and president of Saint Alphonsus. He had served as assistant pastor at La Grande, Ontario and Nyssa perishes before taking the position as chaplain at Holy Rosary Hospital, which he held until his death in 2005.
