ONTARIO — People will be able to enjoy the annual Festival of Trees in about three weeks as the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season will be starting up, and for this year, it will still be held at the Clarion Inn in Ontario, but that may change for the future.
Organizers of the annual event which raises money for the local Meals on Wheels program, which provides for people who have difficulty getting their own meals, and Help Them to Hope, may be looking for a new location with the change in ownership of the Clarion.
The previous owners had provided the space at the Clarion without charge for several years, but it is not clear whether that will continue with the new owner, Blackaby said, adding that she has not been able to visit with him.
According to the sale agreement, Festival of Trees will be able to set up at the hotel for one more year, she said. After that, organizers may be looking for a new place to locate.
Besides offering people an opportunity to enjoy decorated Christmas trees and other decorated items, everything on display will be up for sale.
The festival has been going on for more than 30 years.
