VALE — The first day for candidates to file for the May 19, 2020 Primary Election will be Thursday, Sept. 12, according to Malheur County Clerk Gayle Trotter. The filing deadline is March 10.
County offices up for election are county commissioner, position 2, now held by Larry Wilson, county sheriff now held by Brian Wolfe, and county assessor now filled by David Ingram.
House District Seat 60, now held by Lynn Findley will also be up for election.
People interested in running for county office may pick up filing forms from the County Clerk’s office in Vale or find them on the Oregon Secretary of State website. They may file by declaration with $50 filing fee or by an pre-approved nominating petition.
