ONTARIO — The city of Ontario’s Planning Commission on Monday approved the recommendation for the annexation and rezoning of Urban Growth Area Light Industrial to City Light Industrial. The action came during its regular meeting at the Ontario City Hall.
If approved by the Ontario City Council, the application would result in the annexation of 10 acres from Malheur County into the city, as well as affected rights-of-way for North Verde Drive, North West Thirteenth Street, North West Twenty Second Avenue and North West Twenty Fourth Avenue.
The application would also allow the applicants to connect into city services and further develop the property.
If the council OKs the planning commission’s recommendation, it would be the third annexation this year.
