NYSSA — The Nyssa City Council on Tuesday took the first step toward restricting the occupation of recreational vehicles within the city limits.
The ordinance forbids living in an RV outside of an RV park in the city limits, unless a person has permission of the property owner and only for a maximum of 14 days.
City Manager Jim Maret said the ordinance clarifies existing city code.
The ordinance was approved for its first reading by a bare minimum of four votes as three council members were absent.
The ordinance must have at least one more reading before it can be adopted, scheduled for the next council meeting.
