Fresh off of spring break, the Fruitland golf team picked up a big team win in their SRV match on Monday at Scotch Pines Golf Course.
Reigning 3A state champion Jake O’Neil took home first place in Monday’s tournament. The Boise State commit finished with 33 strokes and had to beat teammate Jonas Bicknese (also finished with 33) in a playoff for first place.
The Grizzlies took home first as a team, blowing out the competition with 140 team strokes. Lucas Rynearson finished with 36 as Tyler Teetzen (53) and Anthony Vincent (38) followed.
Homedale came in second place with 174 as the Trojans’ Daniel Uranga finished with 34 strokes.
The Payette boys finished with 189 team strokes. The Pirates were led by Corbin Parsons and Blake Reese, both finishing with 44. Ryan Harin (54), Cayden Barto (49) and Roger Barbion (52) rounded out the Pirates’ team.
On the girls’ side, it was the Weiser Wolverines coming home with the team crown with 186 team strokes. Homedale was second with 210.
The Lady Pirates finished third with 236 team strokes. Josi Gray led the way with 53.
Addie Gray (61), Annika Ceja (76), Hannah Johnson (62) and Paige Holcomb (60) rounded out the Pirates.
The Grizzlies didn’t have a team score, but Hannah Foss finished in fourth place with 49 strokes. Abbie Plaza finished with 62.
