Incoming New Plymouth High School senior Coby Williams was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player in the Down Under Bowl. The Down Under Bowl invited several football players from Idaho to play in a tournament in Gold Coast, Australia.

Williams ended his junior football season as a West Idaho Conference first team all-league linebacker and a second team fullback. Williams has been a major player for the Pilgrims, who have taken home at least a share of the district championship three years in a row.

In the two games he played in, Williams had 17 tackles, 13 solo tackles and two pass deflections.
