William “Bill” E. Harriman, of Payette, died at his home on the afternoon of Monday February 26th , 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 11, 1939.
After graduating Payette High School in 1957, Bill spent 8 years in the Idaho National Guard. In 1966, Bill met the love of his life when they worked together at the Stanley Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Portland, Oregon. They were married in 1967 and started building their family in Portland.
In 1971, Bill brought his wife and two sons back to Payette, where he had grown up. They bought a house and Bill went to work for Payette Coca Cola Bottling, retiring from Swire Coke in 1999. Bill was a long-time member of the Payette Eagles Lodge and he volunteered with the Payette Historical Society.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Deniece “Dee” M. Harriman, his sons Richard C. (Amber) Harriman and J. Scott (Monica) Harriman, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and his brother, Dick (Donna) Harriman. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
There will be no immediate services, as the family wants to wait for later in the year when more family can get together.
The family would like to extend the warmest thanks to Heart and Home Hospice for their attentive and impeccable care of Bill, allowing him to spend the last days of this illness at home with his family. Their service is an absolute necessity when families want their loved ones at home where they are most comfortable. He loved every one of his nurses Alyssa, Sonja, Meagan, Laura, K’Dean, Elise and Tamara.
