John Robert Hansen, 61, passed away October 10, 2018 at his home in Fruitland, ID., after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 12, 1956 to John and Elizabeth (Beth) Hansen, spending his childhood on the family farm on Little Willow Creek in Payette County, ID and graduating from Payette High School in 1974.
John loved being outdoors… a full-moon, midnight ride on a snowmobile, riding the sand dunes on his 4-wheeler, wind in his face while riding his motorcycle, or just contemplating life by a campfire. He was also a firm believer that there weren’t too many things that a good Jeep ride couldn’t fix.
John was skilled as a welder, metal fabricator and millwright - He could come up with solutions when others couldn’t. He earned a well-deserved reputation throughout his community for being a dedicated, hard-working, fair, and reliable friend.
We would like to thank all of his friends and neighbors for supporting him through this challenging time.
Survivors include his loving wife Nancy of Fruitland; daughter, Saphrene (Dale) Oliver of Emmett, ID.; sons, John Carl “JC” (Christine) Hansen of Phoenix, AZ. and Chad (Kristen)Hansen of Texas; sister, Sara (Jerry) Anderson of Albany, OR; grandchildren, nephews, additional relatives, several dogs, and his many friends.
We shall remember his strength, inventiveness, hilarious stories and laughter. John will be missed by all who knew him.
Family, friends, and others whose lives John touched are invited to CREEKSIDE RANCH, 7701 Elmore Road, Fruitland, ID Saturday May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am to reminisce and share stories.
