The arrest of Rhinehart makes him the second Fruitland High School employee to be accused of sex-related crimes in the past year.
Former High School Principal Mike Fitch (who was also the boys basketball coach and assistant football coach) was issued a summons on Feb. 22 and is facing two counts of sexual battery and one count of soliciting a prostitute (all misdemeanors) for alleged sexual misconduct with a co-worker.
In April, two tort claims were filed to Fruitland School District accusing Fitch of improper conduct with two female students.
According to an email from Fruitland School District Superintendent Teresa Febricius, no further tort claims have been filed against the school district since then regarding Fitch or Rhinehart.
Fitch was put on administrative leave in November of 2018 and resigned on April 18.
