FRUITLAND - As the area’s population continues to grow, the City of Fruitland has found it must grow, too, as suggested by the passage of Ordinance No. 663 at its Jan. 27 City Council meeting.
The Ordinance, in its second reading, is an annexation, comprehensive plan & zoning change for two parcels at 501 N. Pennsylvania Ave. The ordinance would change the parcels’ zoning.
“This ordinance annexes a 1.398 acre parcel into the city limits and zones it Multi Family Residential,” according to Rick Watkins, Zoning Administrator. “The ordinance also amends the comprehensive plan from future Single Family Residential to Multi Family Residential.”
Councilor Ed Pierson moved to suspend existing rules on the parcels and adopt the ordinance in its second reading, with Councilor Stuart Grimes seconding. The vote was unanimous.
