Officials with the Idaho Department of Lands have rescheduled a town hall meeting regarding oil and gas activity in Payette. Originally slated for Tuesday, a scheduling conflict forced the agency to change the meeting date to Nov. 6.
This could be good news for those wanting to ask questions during the meeting, as only written questions will be accepted, and officials encourage submitting those early via email before the meeting. After a quick update from Mick Thomas, IDL Oil and Gas Division Administrator and Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Secretary, Payette County residents will be given first priority among members of the public during a question-and-answer period.
The meeting will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Payette County District Courtroom, 1130 Third Ave. N. in Payette.
Officials say questions must be written in order to answer “as many as possible,” and that they must include the person’s first name and the city in which they reside.
Cards for submitting questions will be available at the meeting.
