The Payette Senior Center and American Legion Post 33 invited residents to ‘Stuff the Bus’ during the month of October, collecting toys, clothing and gift cards to benefit St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. The drive, which utilized one of the Senior Center’s own buses, concluded on Nov. 4.

During this second annual drive, the Senior Center collected 1,865 toys, $609 in cash and 85 gift cards.

In Jan. 2020, American Legion Posts throughout the state of Idaho will gather and make their donations to St. Luke’s.

Volunteers will use the donated gift cards to purchase age-appropriate toys for children in need.

Kathy Patrick, executive director of the Senior Center, expressed her gratitude to those who donated.

“Thank you, and God bless.”
