PAYETTE — At the Payette City Council’s regular meeting on May 15, Payette Police Chief Gary Marshall requested permission to direct a donation of $500 to the family of Nyssa Police Reserve Cpl. Joseph Johnson. Johnson is the fallen officer who was killed in the line of duty on April 15.

In his request, Marshall expressed regret that this donation come before the council sooner.
