Pirates hit the stage at Cultural Center
- Re.Theater and Treasure Valley Community College present Gilbert & Sullivan’s musical masterpiece ‘The Pirates of Penzance,’ directed by Sterling Blackwell. a fabulous cast will perform on the Meyer-McLean Theatre stage Thursday, Oct. 17, Friday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. and a matinee performance on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.

Auxiliary bazaar nears
- Treasure Valley Eagle Auxiliary’s Annual Fall Bazaar will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20.
Multiple vendors will be on site, and proceeds from this event will go to help provide Christmas to several families in need in the community.
The bazaar is at 620 S. Main St. in Payette.

Buddhist bazaar on tap
- Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple presents the 70th annual Buddhist Bazaar starting at noon Oct. 20 in the basement of the temple.
A bingo game will happen at 1 p.m. with an auction immediately following.
There will be lots of delicious traditional oriental foods, such as sushi, teriyaki chicken, udon (noodles), kakimochi (rice crackers) and mochi, as well as American entries and desserts available for purchase.
Also available for purchase will be home-made items and fresh local fruits and veggies which will be sold outside.
