Final play

The Boise State football team released an updated roster on Friday morning, and local sports fans might find a familiar face on the roster.

Fruitland High School alumnus Tyler Eiguren is on the roster, listed as a tight end. After graduating high school, Eiguren went on his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years in Barcelona, Spain.

Eiguren played varsity football for four years with the Grizzlies as a defensive end and tight end. As a senior, he was mostly used as the lead blocker for the Grizzlies’ classic wing-T offense and was a big part of Fruitland’s state championship-winning team in 2016.

Eiguren is listed as six foot, three inches tall and 230 pounds.
