New Plymouth City Hall to relocate

This storefront at 215 N. Plymouth Ave., donated to the city by Internet Truckstop owner Scott Moscrip, will be the new home of New Plymouth City Hall and the Armoral Tuttle Public Library. A timetable for relocation is pending.

NEW PLYMOUTH — As the city of New Plymouth continues to grow, New Plymouth City Hall is growing with it. The facility will be moving to a new home at 215 N. Plymouth Ave, which is presently under construction by EKC, Inc. of Boise.

The space was donated to the city by Internet Truckstop owner Scott Moscrip.

According to City Clerk Danielle Painter, this location means “Larger space for City Hall and [the Armoral Tuttle] Library.”

The Clerk’s Office will make the move first as part of phase one, with the library scheduled to follow in phase two.

“Public Works will take over [the] old city hall,” according to Painter.

Despite repair needs identified by construction crews, Painter said no major issues have been identified.

A timeframe for relocation and estimated construction costs were unavailable as of press time. Present city hall and library facilities at 301 N. Plymouth Ave. remain open.

For more information about the planned move, phone city hall at (208) 278-5338.
