A one-car crash on the freeway led to the death of an Idaho man over the weekend.
Idaho State Police responded to a crash on Interstate 84 westbound at about 5:35 p.m. on Sunday.
According to a press release from Idaho State Police, Jon Michael Cason, 28, of Snyder, Texas, was driving eastbound on the freeway in a 2005 Ford pickup, when he drove off the right shoulder, overcorrected, came back on the road and drove into the median. Cason was taken by ambulance to Saint Luke’s Medical Plaza in Fruitland and was later taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. An update of his condition was unknown by press time. Sykes died at the scene.
