Nov. 24, 1932-June 3, 2013


Lynn Farley, 80, passed away early the morning of June 3, 2013 in Payette, Idaho. Lynn was born to Kenneth and Helen Jones, November 24, 1932 in Wheatland, WY. She made numerous moves in her childhood, she ended with a move to Payette where she was able to spend all her High School years and make many lifetime friends whose company she enjoyed frequently up until the last few months of her life.

Lynn married Bob Farley on November 19, 1950 and they shared 60 wonderful years together until Bob's passing in January of 2011.

Lynn's interests included writing. She had been a regular contributor to The Idaho Magazine and her stories of Idaho History and family experiences were always an entertaining read. She was masterful at creating images through her writing and brought you to the center of the story that was unfolding.

For the more than 20 years that Lynn and Bob lived in Weiser, she was an active member of the Weiser Christian Church serving where needed and enjoyed singing in the choir.

She moved to Boise in 1978, she took on the roll of becoming the best grandmother any child could have hoped for. She will be remembered for her loving, giving nature, and her ability to somehow always make things better for those around her.

The last weeks of Lynn's life were spent with family close by, sharing memories and just enjoying each others presence.

Lynn is survived by; son Mark (Constance Wilde) Farley, son Pat, daughter Nancy (Byron) Dale. Grandchildren; Kirk (Anne Marie) Farley, Mike Farley, James Farley, Zach Farley, Kendell Dale (Jeremy) Tarr, Kara Dale (Alton) Haun, Rilee Rene' Dale (Jason) Gillihan. Great grandchildren; Hunter Tarr, Keagen Tarr, A.J. Haun, Kirk Whiteman Farley, Dylan Farley, Kaden Gillihan and Allie Gillihan.

Surviving extended family; Sister-in-law Charleen Mee, Bother and Sister-in-law Carl and Donna Farley, numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jarice and husband of 60 years Bob.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Boise Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1494 Boise, Idaho 83701.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 1:00pm at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette, Idaho. A memorial service and celebration of Lynn's life will be held immediately afterward at the home of Byron and Nancy Dale, 313 Sunrise Dr., Payette, Idaho.
