Harold Kenneth Ireland

West Richland, Wash.—Harold Kenneth Ireland passed away on the night of Tuesday, December 3rd. Ken was born on November 14, 1927 in Tyrone, Oklahoma.

 Ken spent most of his early years in Oklahoma and Kentucky before opportunities in agriculture brought him and his family to the Northwest.

 Ken attended the University of Oregon, where he received a degree in accounting. Upon graduation, he married Molly and spent the next 4 years living in The Dalles, Oregon.

 In 1957, a job opportunity at Columbia Basin Steel and Iron brought Ken and his family to Tri Cities, Washington where he and his wife, Neva raised their family.

In retirement, Ken spent many happy years in Ontario, Oregon with his high school sweetheart, Irene. Ken then spent the last two years living in West Richland, where he was closer to family.

 His parents, George A. and Julia T. Ireland; brother Norman Ireland; and wives, Molly, Neva, and Irene Ireland precede Ken in death.

 Ken is survived by his two daughters, Donna (Steve) Putnam of Pasco, Washington and Vicki (J.P.) Haid of Forest Grove, Oregon; his two sons, David (Denise) Ireland of Issaquah, Washington and Glenn Ireland of West Richland, Washington; and 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

 Ken will be forever remembered for his kind heart and loving smile.

 A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, December 14th at Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, located at 1401 South Union Street in Kennewick, Washington.
