Weiser - A 20-year-old Weiser resident was killed at the scene of a two-vehicle accident that closed the northbound lane of US 95 for five hours Thursday afternoon.

Idaho State Police said Leonardo Cornejo died after he lost control of his vehicle while driving southbound on US 95 around 12:54 p.m. and swerved into the northbound lane, colliding with a semi-truck.

Police said that both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lanes. Greg Ingalls, 43, of Kingston, Idaho, was driving a 1994 Kenworth semi-truck.

Cornejo was pronounced dead at the scene, and Ingalls was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes in McCall.

Police said Cornejo was wearing his seatbelt, but Ingalls was not.

The crash is still under investigation.
