Ontario — The Treasure Valley Community College men’s basketball player who was critically injured during a fight outside a house party in the early morning hours on Dec. 1, is slowly making a recovery.

According to Ed Aronson, TVCC Athletic Director, Thomas C. Hooper III was taken out of the intensive care unit at Saint Alphonsus–Boise, and his condition was downgraded from critical to serious. He also is no longer in a medically induced coma, but Aronson said that Hooper is still heavily sedated and his movements are minimal.
