Lifelong Learners social, meetings scheduled

ONTARIO

Lifelong Learners is a newly formed group aimed at providing quality lectures and discussions on worthwhile topics from a wide variety of subjects. The new group will hold a social for people interested in learning more about it from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Ontario Community Library, 388 S.W. Second Ave., Ontario. The group is sponsored by the Ontario Community Library and the American Association of University Women. Lifelong Learners will meet at 1:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month in the Ontario Community Library.

The first program will be on the great world religions: Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism. Christianity will be presented Jan. 7 and Jan. 21; Judaism, Feb. 4; Islam, March 4; Buddhism, April 1; and Hinduism, May 6. For more information, call (208) 230-4221.

Chili and potato feed on tap

Payette

The Payette VFW and Woman’s Auxiliary No. 2738 will have a chili and potato feed from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Payette Airport hanger, Payette. Cost will be $3 for combat area veterans, $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and $3 for senior citizens. For more information, contact Karma Hunsaker, (208) 278-3786.

Bake and book

sale slated

Ontario

There will be a bake and book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Ontario Community Library, 388 S.W. Second Ave., Ontario. There will be baked goods, books, crafts and more. All proceeds will go to support the library.

Free Thanksgiving

Vale

The Vale Men’s Prayer Group is sponsoring a free Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Starlite Cafe, 152 Clark St. S., Vale. Gem State Fiddlers to have potluck and

jam session

The Gem State Fiddlers Christmas potluck and jam session will hold from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Vendome Event Center, 309 State St., Weiser. The jam session regularly scheduled for Dec. 10 has been rescheduled to 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Vendome Event Center. The club will resume regular sessions, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month in January. For more information, call (208) 550-0613.
