Musicians from the Treasure Valley will once again present a benefit concert to bring in food and funds for Help Them to Hope at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Meyer McLean Theatre on the Treasure Valley Community College campus, 676 S.W. Fifth Ave., Ontario.

According to concert organizer Wanda Lehmkuhl, this year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World.” Special guests will include Robert and Paul Hatvani, Meridian, formerly from Hungary and the Ukraine. Paul is a concert violinist, and Robert, a composer, will share his pianistic talents.

Also joining this year’s lineup is Motoko Chiba Bollinger, Meridian, born in Japan. Bollinger is a vocalist who will sing Christmas arrangements in Japanese as well as English. Others on stage will include Sean Rogers, Boise, piano and organ; Lehmkuhl, Payette, piano and organ; Phyllis Tincher, Nampa, hand bells; Bethany Sigurdson, Boise, vocals; and Victoria Arriero, Weiser, vocals. Dana Rourke, Payette, will direct “An A-Choired Taste,” a vocal ensemble comprised of her voice students, ages 8 through 15.

This year marks the 16th music concert and the 36th year of Help Them to Hope fundraising by the organization. Refreshments will be served by Holiday Inn during intermission.

Admission is free with canned goods, a new toy and/or a cash donation.
