Charles Allyn "Chuck" Rhinehart

Charles Allyn ‘Chuck’ Rhinehart

June 5, 1946 - Oct. 30, 2009

Payette

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Charles Allyn “Chuck” Rhinehart, 63, Payette, died unexpectedly, Thursday, Oct. 30, 2009, in Twin Falls, Idaho. A viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bible Baptist Church, 118 S. Main St., Payette. Graveside services will immediately follow at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to the family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Chuck was born to Wilmer and Georgetta Rhinehart in Ontario, June 5, 1946. He attended schools in Ontario until the eighth grade, graduating from Fruitland High School in 1964. He lived most of his life in the Ontario-Payette area. He met RoJene Goff in 1963 on a blind date, and they married Jan. 21, 1966. Chuck served in the National Guard for several years and received an honorable discharge in 1977. He also served as a member of the Lions Club and dedicated years to coaching and supporting Special Olympics and its athletics. Chuck worked many years in the local seed plants, starting out sweeping the floors and cleaning seed and worked his way up to manager. Later, he became a seed broker. Chuck’s heart was in agriculture; he enjoyed planting crops and watching them grow. He was chosen to speak in Washington, D.C. on behalf of the seed industry. Shortly thereafter, he accepted the challenge of managing his own business and became an independent owner/operator in the trucking business. He was the “go to” guy for his family. Everyone in his family knew that they could count on him for whatever their needs may be, and he would do whatever he could to help and bring them comfort. He was a dedicated son, fixed his mom numerous meals, and spent countless hours by her side. Chuck was a spiritual man. He prayed privately, did not attend church, but had more compassion and Christianity in his little finger than most people have in their whole body. He loved to help others always in a simple way: a ride here or there, a can of gas, a meal, a cup of coffee, a shirt, a little cash, a phone call, a smile and a few words. Chuck is survived by his wife of 43 years, RoJene, of Payette; two sons, Doug, of Meridian, and Chris, of Payette; a daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Darin Noble, of New Plymouth. Chuck was a wonderful grandpa and gave his love freely to his four granddaughters, Vianna, Alia, Madison, and Nellie Grace; and one great-granddaughter, Taiha. He is also survived by four brothers, Robert (Dorothy), Dale (Vonda), John (Alberta) and Eugene (Marilyn); five sisters, Barbra (Charlie) Knapp, Wanetta Hall, Nadine Russell, Alyce (John) Main and Charlene (Luke) McClain; and one sister-in-law, Sherry Rhinehart.

His parents, Wilmer and Georgetta Rhinehart, and a brother, Edd, precede him in death.

The family requests that donations be made in Chuck’s memory to the DC Superstars (Special Olympics Bowling Team), c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661
