Woman killed in police car crash

OAKRIDGE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a 91-year-old woman was killed and an Oakridge police officer was critically injured in a collision in the city southeast of Eugene.
State police say Officer Daniel Miller was traveling west on Oregon 58 Monday afternoon with his emergency lights and siren on, trying to overtake a speeding vehicle. As he approached an intersection, a car driven by Virginia Spalinger of Oakridge started a left turn, colliding head-on.
