“Together again.”

On a beautiful Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, Marian Mathewson sweetly and peacefully passed from this life into the arms of her sweetheart and those of her Savior.

Marian Fiet Mathewson was born to Isabelle and Garrett Fiet on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1921, in Riverdale, Utah. They fell in love and were married and sealed Feb. 20, 1942, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

As a newlywed, Marian waited for Dar as he fought for his country in the European Campaign of World War II. Marian graduated from Weber State College. She and Dar lived in Provo, Utah, Bunkerville, Nev., Nampa, Idaho, Melba, Idaho, Parma, Idaho, Ontario, Ore., and Payson, Utah. Marian has always been faithful and active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served in many capacities, including 11 years as Stake Relief Society president and seminary teacher. Over the years, she taught countless people the gospel of Jesus Christ through study and example. Marian has also served many communities throughout her life in many service organizations, clubs and community groups.

Marian is survived by her brother, Floyd Fiet, of Wendell, Idaho, Bill Fiet, of Ontario, Calif., and Janet Schrivner, of Meridian, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister, Elva; her granddaughter, Jamie; and her sweetheart, Dar.
