" All of you people are quite funny. If YOU are so opposed to Mr. Dillon being named the new publisher simply because he does'nt reside in the immediate, you really need to broaden your horizons (I am not talking about crossing over into Payette either, but honesty for the majority of you that would be broadening your horizons.) I am sure there were some applicants from the local area,Ontario,Payette, Fruitland & hey, can I say Weiser (or is that not local?) that applied but for some reason the hiring committee felt they were not the right fit. Be happy someone that is not "local" is willing to take the position to try & provide the very few people who do appreciate what the Argus Observer is trying to do for the local area. When all you have you have write about in your LOCAL are area stories about a bunch of sissys who think they are tough guys (yes Loren, I am talking about & your buddies)& "gangstas" , I would'nt mind reading about what's going on in other areas as well. " Diilon lives in the Nampa/Caldwell area-just keeps getting farther away doesn't it? "

" Where does Mr. Dillon reside? Is he another man who will live in Idaho but act like he knows what is best for those of us in Oregon? If so, the slide continues! "

" Give the publisher position to someone who doesn't live in this community. In the story states he worked for argus since 2003 and doesn't even live in the surrounding community. I'm sure he will really care! "
