Dale Wayne Lancaster Sr.
Feb. 18, 1936 - April 30, 2009

Dale Wayne Lancaster Sr., 73, of Parma, passed away of natural causes Thursday, April 30, 2009, at home with his wife, Sue, and family by his side.

He was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Twin Falls to Benjamin and Dorothy Lancaster. Dale graduated from Parma High School in 1954 and, following graduation, joined the U.S. Navy, spending four and a half years serving our country. Dale worked for Amalgamated Sugar in Nyssa, Ore., for 21 years as an electrician. Then, he transferred to Amalgamated Sugar in Nampa, where he worked until he retired in 2000. After retiring, Dale started his own company, Lancaster Electric.

Dale met the love of his life, his soul mate, Sue, in 1976. They moved to Parma to make their family and home. Dale loved to go fishing and camping at Lost Lake with his family.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; step-dad, Richard Black; a brother, Keith Lancaster; a sister, Lorraine Lancaster; a son-in-law, Scott Duncan; two grandsons, Jeremy and Joshua Lancaster; and a granddaughter, Kim Lancaster.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue Lancaster, of Parma; his children, Nick (Kim) Lancaster, of Washington, Karen Duncan, of Parma, Dale (Kathi) Lancaster the second, of Colorado, Frank Lancaster, of Oregon, Ruthann (Jennifer) Lancaster, of Texas, Patty (James) Criss, of Parma, Joe (Amanda) Lancaster, of Parma; his grandchildren, Misty (Jasper) Martin, of Parma, Dale Lancaster the third, of Colorado, John (Kacie) Lancaster, of Caldwell, Nicole (Michael) Lancaster Smith, of Boise, Ashley Lancaster, of Boise, Chelsi Duncan, of Parma, Anthony, Andrew, Derick, Matthew and Megan Lancaster, Kenneth and Mariah Lancaster, of Parma; great-grandchildren, Christian Morrison, of Colorado, Tanner Lancaster, Abigail and Hannah Martin, all of Parma; one adopted great-grandson, Christian Hampton, of Parma; brothers, Bob (Bessy) Lancaster, of Colorado, Gail Lancaster, of Boise, and Byron Lancaster, of Parma; a sister, Pat Gentry, of Emmett; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the VA Hospital, Horizon Hospice, Amanda and Kacie for all the help and care they gave to Dale.

A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd., Caldwell.
