Policeman resigns

COTTAGE GROVE  (AP) — A Cottage Grove police officer has resigned from the department amid an investigation into whether he violated federal child pornography laws. FBI agents last month searched the officer’s house and the police department for evidence that he posted pornographic images of young boys on photo-sharing Web sites. The officer, who has not been charged with a crime, was on paid administrative leave for the past month. He submitted his resignation Friday.

" Depends on how long he's been a policeman whether he can collect a pension at some point down the line. If he's not vested he can't/won't and if he is years away of actual retirement, it will be a very small pension. If he is tried and found guilty, then by all means he shouls pay the price just like any other pervert. There must be "something" to the alligations or he wouldn't have resigned he would have fought it, just my opinion... "
