PAYETTE —The Payette boys basketball team outscored Marsing 20-2 during the first quarter, and cruised to a big 54-21 win over the nonconference opponent, Saturday in Payette.

Tyler Kuder led the way, scoring 11 points, while Jake Novotny scored nine for the Pirates, who led 36-9 at the half.

“We played some pretty solid defense,” Payette head coach Shawn Scow said. “Everybody scored, everybody contributed. I was happy with the performance.”
