Salon fundraiser to benefit domestic violence victim
FRUITLAND â” Salon Savvy Day Spa, 411 S. Whitley Drive, Fruitland, will offer $10 haircuts (no styling), $5 Paraffin hand dips and $5 10-minute chair massages from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to benefit domestic violence victim Kim Butler. The services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments, please. Donations will be accepted.
OHS Drama Club to present âTartuffeâ
ONTARIO â” The Ontario High School Drama Club will present Moliereâs comedy âTartuffe or The Imposterâ at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 3 p.m. Saturday at the OHS Commons. Tartuffe, masquerading as a religious guru, schemes to seduce his benefactorâs wife, marry his daughter and swindle him of his possessions. Tickets are $7. Girls Night Out scheduled
ONTARIO â” A Christmas fashion show, presented by Mint Alley, Nyssa, is planned for Girls Night Out at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Sizzler restaurant in Ontario. The buffet opens at 5:30 p.m., and the cost for the evening is $10, which includes the Malibu chicken and salad bar. Tanja Gorham, La Grande, will present âLetters from the Past.â Pat Koehler, Nyssa, will lead a Christmas sing-along and perform Christmas music on the piano. All area ladies are invited, and a $10 reimbursement is available for babysitters. Ore-Ida retirees luncheon planned

Senior Center news
NYSSA â” The Nyssa Senior Center will have its Christmas potluck at noon, after an 11 a.m. meeting and an 11:30 a.m. program by the Nyssa High School Select Choir, Dec. 10 at the center. Ham, potatoes and gravy are provided. Bring a side dish or pay $3. A foot clinic by Orion will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 18 at the center. Walk-ins will be accepted. Heartfelt Country will perform Christmas music at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the center. Coffee and pie will be sold at intermission.
