Weiser eliminated, Adrian falls to Jordan Valley

Kimberly—The Weiser Wolverine football season has come to an end following a disappointing 42-7 loss to Kimberly Saturday in the 3A state football tournament.
Weiser’s lone score came on a 25-yard pass from Gavin Eisenbarth to Alton Funk in the first quarter to tie the game at seven.
Kimberly reeled off 35 unanswered points for the win.
Weiser, however, had two scores removed from the board due to penalties.

In the season finale of the Special District 7 football league Friday, Jordan Valley and Adrian were playing for the No. 2 seed for the upcoming state tournament.
In a tightly fought game, Jordan Valley out dueled Adrian 22-16.
Adrian led 8-6 through three quarters of action, but in the fourth quarter, the Mustangs added two scores to the Antelopes one for the win.
Harper 74

The Harper Hornets ended its season on a high note with a 74-0 stomping over Huntington Friday in Huntington.
Harper ended the game with 364 yards of offense as they scored multiple times in the first three quarters of play.
Harper jumped out to a 22-0 lead in the first quarter, and by the break led 60-0. In the third they added 14 more for the final tally.
The win moved the Hornets to 4-4 for the season.

With a big first half, the Council Lumberjacks never looked back after claiming a 38-0 lead at the half, all the way to a 50-0 win over Notus, Friday in Council.
The Lumberjacks started off with three straight rushing touchdowns by Tyler Farrar, rushing for scored from 80, 50 and 4-yards out, for a quick 24-0 lead after the first quarter.
Bo Green scored a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter, one on a 59-yard pass from Keith Heil and one on a 4-yard touchdown run.
“We wanted a good defensive effort and stay balanced on offense, both rush and pass,” Council head coach Dan Shumway said. “Our players are stepping up for us.”
