The Family Place gives thanks

Editor,
Last spring, The Family Place was the victim of a burglary. The thieves took printers, computer monitors, hard drives and other office equipment. A short time after the break-in, Larry Meyer interviewed our executive director, and the Argus ran a great story on changes in leadership at The Family Place.
In that story, Larry mentioned the burglary and noted if anyone could donate items to replace the stolen equipment, please contact us. I could hardly believe the response from our community and the surrounding area. Soon the things we’d lost were replaced with better and more equipment (11 computer monitors in all). We would like to thank the individuals and businesses who came forward to help us in our time of need.
Individuals brought in monitors, computers and a stapler. A board person loaned us his computer for immediate use. Another business donated five newer computers, and the owners of McGowan Computers donated their time and resources to see that we were up and running in record time.
Personnel at our bank, Intermountain Community Bank, also contacted us with valuable support and information on what to do following the theft.
And, lastly, we would like to thank the Argus and Larry for the story that brought a generous outpouring of support from our community. Thank you to each and every friend and neighbor who so graciously shared their gifts and talents. What a great place to live!
