Beavers roll over Wash St 66-13

CORVALLIS (AP) — Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 168 yards, Sammie Stroughter had 116 yards receiving and Oregon State easily beat Washington State 66-13 Saturday.

Lyle Moevao threw four interceptions, but it didn’t keep the Beavers from breaking a school record for points in a Pac-10 game. Eight different Oregon State players scored touchdowns.

Washington State’s injury woes at quarterback continued. Marshall Lobbenstael was lost to an apparent ankle injury early in the fourth quarter. The Cougars have already lost two quarterbacks to injuries.

The Cougars (1-6, 0-4 Pac-10) had more penalty yards (170) then offensive yards (132). It’s the third time this season they have given up at least 60 points.

The Beavers (3-3, 2-1) ran up 548 yards of total offense, including 323 rushing.

Rodgers, a true freshman from Richmond, Texas, surpassed 100 yards for the fifth game in a row, hitting the century mark by the middle of the second quarter. Moevao completed 12 of 24 passes for 186 yards.

Oregon State’s previous high point total in a conference game came in a 55-7 win over UCLA in 1999.
