Tiger football team raffling Seahawk tickets

The Ontario High School football team is raffling off two Seattle Seahawks tickets for the Nov. 2 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The drawing will be held at the Ontario/Mac-Hi football game on Oct. 24. Tickets can be purchased for the raffle at any Ontario home varsity football game or at the following businesses: Alvarado’s Jewelers, Farmers Co-op and All About Sports. Golf tournament to benefit Southeast Oregon Regional Food Bank slated

The Snake River Correctional Institute is sponsoring the first annual Wellness Committee Golf Tournament Oct. 11 at Scotch Pines Golf Course in Payette.
The event is a four-man tournament. The cost for the tournament is $47 per person, which includes cart, green fees, balls and the prize fund. In addition, a dinner will be served at 5 p.m. which will consist of Hamburgers, chips and side dishes. Optimist football game set in Weiser

The Snake River Sabercats will be hosting their annual Optimist football game against a fifth- and sixth-grade team from Weiser. The contest is scheduled to be played at 3 p.m. Saturday at Weiser High School.
A second game is in the works for the Sabercats to play an Ontario team Oct. 25. The time and location has not yet been determined.
Pheasants Forever Banquet on tap

The Malheur County Chapter of Pheasants Forever will be hosting its annual banquet. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario. The banquet will raise funds for habitat projects and youth events.
