Marla Ann (Dail) Heck, 52, Ontario, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, due to complications from diabetes. A ‘celebration of life’ will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at the Beck Kiwanis Park, located north of the Malheur County Fairgrounds along Northwest Eighth Avenue in Ontario. The Reverend James M Farmer, Jordan Valley, will provide a spiritual message. A potluck lunch will be held after the service.
Marla was born Jan. 30, 1956, in Nyssa, the daughter of Lee and Gwendolyn Dail. She attended and graduated from Nyssa High School. Marla married Blaise Heck on Feb. 4, 1977, in Caldwell. Together they lived in the Nyssa and Ontario area while raising their son, Francis.
She is survived by her husband, Blaise, Ontario; a son, Francis, Ontario; four brothers, Gary, of Shelton, Wash., Jack, of Maple Valley, Wash., Jim, of Happy Valley, Ore., and David, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Marla was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marcena.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Marla’s name to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
