Birders association meeting slated
NAMPA — The Southwestern Idaho Birders Association will make a field trip to Mountain View Reservoir, south of Grassmere, Saturday. The emphasis on this trip will be migrating shore birds. Tibetan Monks to create Mandala sand painting and perform music
CALDWELL — The Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Monastery will be in residence at The College of Idaho Sept. 17 through Sept. 20. They will create a Mandala sand painting in the foyer of the Langroise Fine Arts Building on the campus of The College of Idaho. The opening ceremony will be at noon Sept. 17. The public may view the following work from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Sept. 19. There is no admission charge. The Tibetan Monks will present Sacred Music Sacred Dance at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Jewett Auditorium in Caldwell. Individual tickets range from $22 to $28 for adults and $16 to $22 for students.
