O-zone Summer Jam 3 coming up
ONTARIO — Ontario’s third annual hip hop/rap concert, O-zone Summer Jam 3, kicks off at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ontario Armory, 720 N.W. Eighth Ave., Ontario. Oregonized Crime, featuring Tim Martin, 21, Ontario, and Labor Camp, a group from Nyssa, will perform with special out of town guests. Admission is $6, or $5 with a canned food donation. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Pioneer Days on tap
HUNTINGTON — The Huntington Chamber of Commerce is hosting Pioneer Days Saturday and Sunday at Lions Park in Huntington. Vendor space is available for $5 per day. Kids’ games, a dunk tank, a bouncy castle, a dime toss, snow cones, cotton candy and raffles will be at the event, along with free entertainment.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, cowboy poets will take the stage. Indian dancers will take over from 11 a.m. to noon. Banned from Nashville will play from noon to 4 p.m. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Local Yokels will perform. Country Classic will wrap up the evening’s entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. a breakfast will be held at a cost of $5, and Sage Creek Band will perform. Indian dancers will again take the stage from 11 a.m. to noon. Kids games will take place from noon to 1 p.m. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Local Yokels will play, and gospel music will be performed at 5 p.m.

Benefit spaghetti feed and auction planned
COUNCIL — Paula Schuck, a Council resident and manager of the Adams County Record newspaper, was badly injured in July when she fell off a roadside cliff along the Salmon River. She has no insurance and has a long way to recovery, so the community is rallying together to help her. A benefit spaghetti feed will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pineridge. Live music will be performed, and the cost for the event is $20. Call (208) 347-3777 for reservations. A benefit auction will be held Sept. 20. Grange country western dance scheduled
ONTARIO — Boulevard Grange No. 389 will host its monthly country western dance from 8:30 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the hall, 3890 Oregon Highway 201, southwest of Ontario near Cairo junction. The alcohol-free dance is open to all ages at a cost of $5.
Ontario Senior Center events
ONTARIO — The Ontario Senior Center’s noon lunch will consist of spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and dessert Friday. The cost is $4. Live music will be provided from 11:15 a.m. until noon. An evening dance will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, with music provided by Woody and the Gang. Admission is $3.
