Sherrie Glenn Crawford

Sherrie Glenn Crawford, 63, of Moore, Idaho, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Sherrie was born Jan. 31, 1945, in Tremonton, Utah, to Marion Larson and Donna C. Anderson Glenn. Her family lived a short time in Tremonton before moving to Nyssa. She attended school in Nyssa and graduated from Nyssa High School in 1963. She attended Boise State College and later studied forestry at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Sherrie married Alvin Walter Crawford Aug. 30, 1966, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived their entire married life of 41 years on the Crawford ranch in the Antelope Valley.

Sherrie drove school bus for many years. She enjoyed working with young people in the 4-H program, natural resources and scouting.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings throughout her life. For the past few years, she served on the board of the Natural Resources Conservation Committee.

Sherrie was a very talented seamstress and made quilts, clothing, dance costumes and wedding dresses for many people in the valley. She became very good at needlepoint and spent many hours creating pictures for her family. Sherrie loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them crafts.

Sherrie is survived by her husband, Alvin; her four children, Glenn (Ginger), Rexburg, Idaho, Eric (Kimberlee), Mentor, Ohio, Warren (Samantha), Laramie, Wyo., and Moria (Steve), Fries, Meridian, Idaho; 11 grandchildren and five brothers, Larry (Karen), of Nyssa, Val (Lori), Oregon City, Ore., Robert (Shellie), Oregon City, Mike (Kathy), Nyssa, and Roger (Donna), of Tracy, Calif.

Her parents, Marion and Donna Glenn, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at the Moore LDS Stake Center, Moore. A viewing will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the Hawker Funeral Home in Arco and one hour prior to the service Friday. Interment will be at the Lost River Cemetery under the direction of the Hawker Funeral Home.
